The firm handles many areas of law including criminal defense, personal injury, medical malpractice, immigration, trusts and estates, family, OFAC, business transactional and whistleblower law.

Job Summary

Price Benowitz, LLP is seeking a full-time Human Resources Generalist to join their growing team at their Washington, DC headquarters. This position is essential to sustaining the growth of the firm and is a perfect opportunity for someone looking for a place that has been continuously growing and expanding its practice areas. You will be working with various groups of individuals such as attorneys, paralegals, support staff, marketing associates, and accounting personnel.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain employee HR information by recording new hires, transfers, terminations, anniversaries, and birth dates
  • Plans new employee orientation 
  • Manage employee relations to include coaching and counseling
  • Administer new employee benefits, manage benefit election changes, and facilitate the open enrollment process
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements
  • Responsible for sourcing candidates for open positions to coordinating include in-person interviews, maintaining the recruiting database software, and reporting to management
  • Cultivate relationships and maintain close communication with candidates, colleagues, law school alumni groups, professional organizations, and external recruiters
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of recruiting issues and trends in the legal industry that have short and long-term implications on the business
  • Attend job fairs
  • Assists with other essential functions as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior recruiting experience a plus
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational, time management, customer service skills
  • Ability to work well independently
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to pass a background check
