Job Summary

Price Benowitz, LLP is currently seeking a full-time Trusts and Estates Paralegal to join a growing team located in Washington, DC headquarters. The T&E Paralegal will focus on assisting the Trusts and Estates attorneys with cases to ensure the efficient and timely processing of all administrative processes associated with T&E cases. Must be able to work 9-6pm Eastern Time, but the position can be fully remote.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist attorneys in all aspects of estate planning and administration, including drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
  • Conduct legal research on various estate planning matters and stay updated on changes in laws and regulations.
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on their cases.
  • Prepare and organize documents for client meetings, court filings, and other legal proceedings.
  • Manage and maintain client files and electronic records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and other staff members to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of T&E paralegal experience.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 plus years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Trusts and Estates matters and understanding of legal documents in Washington, DC, Maryland and District of Columbia considered a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in Interactive Legal Services software or similar estate planning software is highly desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, and case management software.
  • Excellent analytical abilities, communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
  • Must be able to submit to a background check.
