Job Summary
The Personal Injury Department is seeking a full-time Workers’ Compensation Legal Assistant to support our growing Workers’ Compensation practice. This role is ideal for legal professionals with strong case management experience, familiarity with workers’ compensation procedures, and a solid background supporting litigation matters.

The ideal candidate will hold a JD or equivalent law degree from their home country and have relevant legal experience, preferably supporting U.S.-based workers’ compensation cases.

This is a fully remote position. Required working hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Eastern Time.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assist attorneys with the management of Workers’ Compensation cases from intake through resolution.
  • Prepare, draft, and file workers’ compensation forms, pleadings, and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor deadlines related to hearings, medical evaluations, and statutory requirements.
  • Communicate with clients regarding medical treatment, wage documentation, and case updates.
  • Coordinate with medical providers to obtain records and billing information.
  • Communicate with insurance adjusters and opposing counsel regarding claims status.
  • Organize and maintain electronic case files and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Assist in preparing hearing materials and exhibits.
  • Support settlement preparation and documentation.
  • Perform additional departmental functions as needed.

Qualifications and Skills
  • JD/Law degree from your home country is required, together with relevant legal experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Paralegal or Case Manager in a law firm (U.S. experience strongly preferred).
  • Prior experience handling or supporting Workers’ Compensation matters is required.
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures and case management workflows.
  • Advanced English proficiency (C1–C2 level), both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and client communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Outlook) and case management software.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.

Compensation
$8–$9 per hour. Placement within the stated compensation range will be determined at Price Benowitz’s discretion, based on skill set, years of experience, and credentials.
