Position Overview
Price Benowitz LLP is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to support our accounting team. This is a fully remote position, and we welcome applications from candidates located in Latin America who are able to work Eastern Time business hours.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in accounts payable or general accounting and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with vendors and internal staff, responding promptly to accounts payable inquiries.
- Set up new vendor accounts and ensure all required documentation is properly obtained and verified.
- Process invoices and check requests accurately and efficiently.
- Audit processed checks and invoices to ensure accuracy and proper approvals.
- Investigate and resolve vendor inquiries and payment discrepancies.
- Update and maintain cash flow records for Accounts Payable Manager review.
- Prepare and submit weekly accounts payable reports.
- Print, prepare, and mail checks as needed.
- Prepare and complete daily deposits for remote scanning and bank deposits.
- Assist with semi-monthly overseas payroll batches.
- Perform weekly soft reconciliations of credit card accounts.
- Maintain organized accounting records and documentation.
- Enter reclassification, correction, and void entries when necessary.
- Assist with the 1099 process, year-end tasks, and other accounting projects.
Education & Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting required.
- Fluency in English (C2 level) is required.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google Drive.
- Experience with accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, Bill.com, and Clio strongly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving ability and reliability in meeting deadlines.
Compensation & Schedule
- $7–$8 per hour, depending on experience.
- Fully remote position.
- Working hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Eastern Time.
